Raymond A. Celotto, age 79, passed away peacefully with his family at his side in Philadelphia, PA on October 10th, 2021. He was the beloved son of the late Ralph and Mary (Ficatendi) Celotto of South Philadelphia. Ray graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.
Ray was the devoted husband of Linda (Casile), together over 50 years, married over 43 wonderful years. He was the beloved father of Jeffrey Celotto and Renee (husband, Joseph) Giannetti. Ray was the proud grandfather of Giovanna and Giuseppe Giannetti. He will be sadly missed by his sister Arlene (husband, the late William) Calter, and by all who knew him.
Ray served for 4 years in the U.S. Airforce. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, chapter #1492 at St. Leo's Church where he was dedicated to serving the less fortunate.
Ray was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He also loved spending time with his two grandchildren in Cape May, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to Ray's Life Celebration on Monday October 18, 2021 from 9 to 11 am at Saint Jerome Catholic Church - 8100 Colfax Street Philadelphia, PA 19136, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 am.
His interment will be on Thursday October 21, 2021, 9 am at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery – 830 Highland Road. Newtown, PA 18940.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ray's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
