Ruth also leaves behind an impressive legacy in her eight adoring great grandchildren; Carly E. Johnston, Delaney Radtke, Xander Snow, Dillan McGuire, T.J. Ruth was born in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia to the late Francis "Colonel" Wurgley and Mary Piper. She was the caring sister to the late William F. Wurgley and Richard Wurgley. Ruth was a proud graduate of Kensington high school class of 1950.
From an early age, Ruth was very devoted spreading scripture and furthering her musical talents. She was very involved with her local church, Alpha Baptist. For many years she led bible studies, youth group activities, and played piano and organ for the church services. She would meet her husband; George at Alpha Baptist and they were married in 1952.

In 1956, Ruth and George moved to Northeast Philadelphia to set down roots and raise a family. They became devoted members of the Rhawnhurst Baptist Church, where Ruth continued to share her musical talents and scripture ministries. In more recent years, they were active members of the Pennypack Baptist Church Community.

Condolence & Memory Journal

So sorry for the lost, but know heaven is a better place with Ruth there. I can remember Growing up next them, and at the time it was aunt Ruth giving Ricky and I instructions of how to rake leaves, God Bless
