Tribute & Message From The Family

Paul Hegarty, Sr. passed away peacefully with loving family by his side on September 30, 2021. He was 85. Paul was born in Philadelphia to Catherine and Thomas Hegarty. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (nee Moran); children, Marianne Hegarty (Shawn), Paul Jr. (Kate), Karen Devine (Steve), Michael (Sue), Helen Compton (Sean), Julie Schneider (Scott), and Tim (Jen); as well as 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Paul was an avid Philly sports fan, especially the Eagles. He loved to fish and hunt but only at the Acme. He enjoyed his time with his friends at some of his favorite establishments in the northeast but more than anything he loved spending the holidays with his family.

Luncheon to follow at FOP Lodge 5 (Fraternal Order of Police Lodge), 11630 Caroline Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Helen and the rest of the Hegarty's...
I know that family is the most important thing to all of you, and losing the Patron of the Hegarty Family
is so painful. But try to remember the beautiful family that Paul was able to preside over for so many years and that he will be watching over all of you from upstairs for years to come- your friend Scott Blumenthal

Thoughts and prayers for all of the Hegarty families! Mr Hegarty was the nicest person anyone could want to be friends with. Our world will not be the same with him gone, but heaven is getting a great person and will be better off for his presence. Paul will be missed by so many, but when he's thought of, will bring smiles to our faces! Rest In Peace!
