Tribute & Message From The Family

Dorothy M. Casee (nee Osborne), of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the age of 80. Dorothy was the beloved wife of Joseph W. Casee Sr. for 60 years; devoted mother and mother-in-law of Joe Jr., Tim, Chris, Greg and their spouses; caring grandmother of 10 and loving great grandmother of 1; sister of Trudy Devine and Joseph Osborne.

Dot will be forever remembered for her love of family, her laugh and her unique "hello". She loved cruises, going to the racetrack with her husband and dear friends, playing the bingo circuit, facetiming with her sister in Florida and playing words with friends while sitting in her favorite spot on the couch. Pinochle was the family card game and Dot was always ready to play. She often partnered with beginners to share her love of the game.

She could always get the quietest of people to open up and tell their story. She especially enjoyed engaging her grandchildren in lively discussions on world events. She truly was interested in their perspective of life.

Raising four sons kept Dot busy. She was their cheerleader, disciplinarian and advocate always on the sidelines ready with a hug. As her family grew she welcomed spouses, grandchildren and a great grandchild with love and joy. She loved spending time with family and was game for anything. Whether you called her Dot, Mom, Nannie or Mrs "C", you knew you were loved and an important piece in her life. Her words of wisdom, her love for us and her "hello" will be forever missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Dorothy's memorial mass on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 at 12:00PM at St Cecilia's Church 535 Rhawn St, Philadelphia, PA 19111. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St Jude Children's Research Hospital in Dorothy's memory would be greatly appreciated.
